This Congress is not only an opportunity for our party to renew, modernize and understand the codes of society, the Fifth Congress of the DC is an opportunity for Chile, for the biggest game of the last 50 years should give driving policy in our country, which in turn it gives them a better quality of life for all its inhabitants.
So whatever happens from here is going to impact both the Christian Democrats as the Chileans expect a lot of us, but mainly in the Fifth Congress should get out more united than ever to face the challenges that Congress will impose. This is done only in fraternity, this is how we look at the Christian Democrats, this is the sublime expression of the bargain between comrades, brotherhood is the possibility of communion between freedom and equality. The brotherhood is more relevant than ever, it is a social model across the individualism of liberal freedom and equality, collectivism egalitarian brotherhood based on people seeking the common good through a sustainable, harmonious and complementary with the environment. Fraternity brings us to care for and support the society through collective action in the community and through the principle of subsidiarity follow in solidarity with the people of the community who need the state to overcome their social needs. Fraternity as a principle in effect is the possibility of overcoming egalitarianism and selfishness of the old ways antithetical expressions equality and freedom, which for two centuries and a half have tried absolutely imposed upon each other.
Therefore, Congress has the opportunity to think about this new partnership and we show ourselves as it is a chance that DC have to meet again in the fellowship of Christian Democrats, Congress is mostly a gathering of ideas, we can respond to the challenges this new century has brought us. The Fifth Congress will do for the country, its people, we will do because Chile is at the heart of DC.
